AAPP INVITES VIEWS OPINIONS, LETTERS ON THE CONTENTIOUS ISSUE OF

Is GM Food safe?

Do we want Bt Brinjal on our Dining Table soon?

The AAPP (Association for Advancement in Plant Protection) has decided to issue a Newsletter Special Edition dealing with the contentious issue that is rocking the agricultural Scientists and related organizations, - the issue of production and consumption of GM Food with special reference to challenges posed by the call for release of Bt brinjal. The issue is likely to be released by the end of June, 2010.

We invite people from all walks of life to respond to this contentious issue.  Your views are so very important in taking policy decisions on this issue. We would try to accommodate as many views as we can. The views may be expressed in not more than 750 words, letters on the issue in not more than 400 words and pointed opinions in not more than 500 words.

Please reach us with your views, opinions and/or letters on the issue before 31st May, 2010.

Through this Special Issue of the Newsletter, we will try to communicate your views to those specially at the helm of policy making.

Further, AAPP launched its flagship publication, The Journal of Plant Protection Sciences (JPPS). JPPS is an open-access bi-annual journal invites original research findings on all aspects of plant protection.
